"Bought this to use in my spare room as we have limited space. For the money I can`t see that you will find a better specified laptop.Runs super fast and quietly and loads everything I`ve thrown at it. If you need a second user machine or one for the kids this latop is ideal especially with it`s small footprint. Only couple of minus points, my case was scratched quite badly and the in built speakers are poor but for the money an absolute 5 star bargain."

"I have had two of these £169.99 Fuji Laptops. The first had a lot of white spots on the screen which are only really noticeable on White Backgrounds. I`ve since seen Big Pockets seperate any of the Fuji laptops with noticeable white spots on screen and describe this condition as well as reduce the price. The actual casing of the first was in very good condition except the plastic clips on the hinges which appear to be a little loose. The second laptop did not have any noticealbe spots on the screen (1 dead pixel) although the casing was very smooth / warn from use, around the areas where your hands would rest whilst typing / using track pad. The plastic clips on hinges were also cracked and a little loose but does not effect the hinges. Both laptops came shipped with Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2), not Service Pack 3 (which has been out for some time) and the blue-tooth driver needed updating via a Windows Update to work correctly. Both machines Memory passed the MemTest Diagnostic test without errors as did the Seagate Hard drives under Seagates SeaTools Diagnostic test software. Neither laptop appeared to be using any of the Fujitsu OEM Windows keys which would suggest they have not been refurbished by Fujitsu directly but by another company. I securely wiped my machine and rebuilt a Windows XP install disc to include Service Pack 3, all Windows critical updates as of September 09 and to use the Fujitsu OEM Windows Key and OEM BIOS files. However, the Fujitsu website doesn`t appear to have all the correct / latest drivers for this machine on their website for download. Therefore, I`d recommend anyone who wishes to format their machine to use DriverMax to back-up their drivers before reformatting etc. I now have a nice dual booting laptop (Windows XP / Xubuntu) which is to my liking and can now use it to update the firmware on my iPodTouch without too much hassle. I`m now using this laptop rather than my Asus EEEPC 1000HE (2GB RAM) netbook as I`m just not happy with the performance of netbooks under Windows XP. I`d stick to netbooks for when travelling away from home as they are small, but not particularly light. I bought the second Fuji laptop for my friend who wanted a cheap machine for mainly internet use. I set him up a dual booting system also (Windows XP / Xubuntu) and he`s using Xubuntu (Linux) most of the time now and only using Windows if really required i.e. to update firmware of iPhone. He seems very happy with his purchase and I have to say I rather do like the Fujitsu laptops."
