Verbatim's MediaStation HD DVR is a multimedia player and recorder with a built in DVB-T / analogue hybrid tuner for tuning in digital and terrestrial TV channels. It has TV In and TV OUT aerial ports enabling you to watch your TV channels from your television whilst recording TV through the MediaStation.
The 1TB option is capable of storing up to 1400 movies, 330,000 songs, and 1,000,000 photos; or 500 hours of TV recording.

Record your favourite shows.
You can record directly from your TV, cable/satellite set top box, DVD
or VHS player, using the One Touch Record function or by choosing
scheduled recordings using the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) over the
DVB-T. You can choose to record direct to the MediaStation Hard Drive,
to an external USB storage device, or a memory card.
The MediaStation also lets your playback content whist recording from
the TV, or any other source.
The One Touch Record function allows you to simply press to record one
program and select the duration that you want it to record for. Choose
from: 30 / 60 / 120 / 180 or 240 minutes. Recordings are automatically
saved to the MediaStation Hard Drive.
Deliver high definition
Get the best out of your new HD TV! MediaStation HD DVR can playback
high definition movies (1080i resolution), HD JPEG photos and up-scale
standard definition movies to 1080i. This helps you to enjoy your movies
and television in more clarity and sharpness making it a thoroughly
enjoyable entertainment experience.
Pause or Rewind Live TV
The MediaStation allows you to Record / Pause / Rewind / Play Live TV
using the Time Shift function.
The MediaStation HD DVR has 2 USB host interfaces, so you can choose to
record or playback from an external USB device, such as a USB drive or
another external hard drive. You can also choose to record directly to a
high capacity memory card (SDHC) via the memory card slot.
It also features a One-Touch copy button that automatically copies all
your photos from your memory card onto the hard drive, backing-up your
precious memory effortlessly. You can also set up a slide show function
to view all your photos (Memory card slot compatible with SD/SDHC/MS).
Stream your media
Verbatim model numbers 47541 / 47543, have Wireless capabilities via the
optional Wireless USB Dongle. With this capability; you can attach to a
wireless home network and stream data from your PC or laptop with ease.
H.264 files
Video files that are encoded H.264 can be played back on the
MediaStation via the LAN or Wireless LAN using the Transcode Server
software that is included on the CD.

"This unit has truly transformed my 50 plasma! I was expecting it to upscale the video content of my external hard drives, but it also upscales the internal tuner DVB signal to the TV. I was looking to spend a couple of hundred quid on a decent freeview receiver/recorder but so glad I stumbled upon this unit. The only problem I have encountered is that it froze when I connected my dedicated home cinema PC via USB, but it integrates flawlessly on the wireless network. 1 Does the Verbatim 1TB MediaStation HD DVR Wireless Network Multimedia Recorder have freeview HD?
2 Does it come with the relevant software preloaded, eg Windows 7?
3 Can this media station be connected wirelessly to a TV via a Wii player?
4 Can the media station also play films wirelessly to the TV?
